I ordered all the parts to make this happen and I'm really excited. Anything you would've done differently if you could do it over again? Any recommendations on where all be mounting the receiver and VTX? I also ordered longer(25mm) standoffs for the frame so I could have less of a camera angle.

If you look at my Hyphy I build, you can see that I zip tied my VTX onto the side of my stack. The receiver is just ontop of my stack under the top plate. I think the point of the build is to keep it pretty slammed, and I love the look of it. With the plates being low with the original standoffs, it keeps all the guts of my quad squished inside. Tight build, but it's all safe in there.

Recommendations? Don't mount the antenna on the top plate hole, use Hyph's 3d printed mount for the back so it stays flexi. Use the holes in the back of the bottom plate to zip tie to loop through your power leads from the PDB so when it's tugged it won't create stress on your solder joints. The method of mounting the camera includes inserting the bracket from the bottom of the plate so it is recessed and allowing a lower cam height, and it still allows the camera to be pretty horizontal if you don't need the angle. Worst case, mount the bracket ontop of the bottom plate instead and it should still work fine - sans higher standoffs. Use the slammed frame to your advantage to hold everything in. It'll be a tight build but in a crash, you won't have loose parts flying around, and it'll look sexy doing it.

Thanks for the tip about the PDB wires i never thought of that. Where can I order the orange stuff you have around the wires between the esc and motor's?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
