Race quad for indoors. Arms are 2$ a pop and easy to swap, the camera is well protected because it's a micro, and the stubby vTX antenna is almost impossible to damage in a crash. Pictures show the Racekraft props but I quickly noticed they draw too much current on these motors. I quickly changed to the new 5051 Cyclones which are absolutely amazing! So light and yet good thrust and they are very hard to break.

Still using the trusty Hobbywing combo for FC and ESCs, it works so well, why change? I heard so much good about the Xnova motors (a lot of pilots fly those in Switzerland) that I had to try them, and I must say they are quite punchy and resilient to crashes (had a bad one on the second flight, it landed in a puddle of water what's more, and it still flies like new). I went for the 2450kV version because they will give me the best torque and acceleration, which is important for indoors racing.

The Micro Sparrow and Sparrow are my new go-to cameras because of their super low latency and 16/9 aspect ratio. I'm not particularly fond of the CMOS image quality but it's not that big a deal.

The FuriousFPV vTX is a nice one to use, easy to install and quite small. I didn't go for the bluetooth version because I'm using the LUA script on my Taranis to setup power and channel anyway. I put the provided 470uF cap at the beginning but in in the end it was in the way of the SMA connector so I just left it out. No video problems to report anyway.

All in all, very happy with this build! It's my cleanest one to date and also my lightest one. It comes at around 450g with a 1300mAh 4S LiPo (290g without battery). It is worth noting that the 2207 Xnova motors are quite heavier than the 2206. My friend built the same quad with 2206 and managed a whopping 412g AUW.

On another topic, I just got myself a Clearview and I absolutely love it! I first tried Clearview at an indoor race a few weeks ago and fell in love, the image was so much clearer and the glitches were almost invisible. Figured since it's winter season here, that I'd benefit from it for indoors racing as well as for my next project: medium range flying!
