How did you manage to mount the camera and still have the lens inside the aluminum frame? I had to mount mine using the back set of holes of the bracket which pushed my lens ahead of the frame.

I am using the split, the first version and it does fit, it is a tight fit thou. Maybe the new camera is bigger?
I added two pictures that shows the mounting holes of the frame and camera. Hope it helps.
It was the screws that attach the bracket to the camera that was making the fit too tight for me
