This is a frame I picked up on eBay, made by KingKong, the Rammus 180mm. It's got side rales and comes with 6 plastic, clip-in canopies in various colors. I like the canopy style quad frames, because they hide the electronics and messy bits, and look more like air vehicles than the usual carbon skeletons that are everywhere. I have a few canopy covered custom builds in my fleet, which I will post when I have time to get to them. I just finished this build yesterday, along with its maiden voyage, so it's my newest addition to my growing fleet of "Serious Toys". This little bugger is pretty nimble for such a heavy little setup (298g w/o batt), and it performs backflips like nobody's business. It has great balance without having to do much, or think about where to put things for the best center of gravity application. The battery rides on the bottom, and a 4S 1300mAh pack balances perfectly with the upper electronics and carbon/canopy top half. It's forward/aft balance is spot on as well, and my first flight was quite good, with no tuning in place.

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
