A special shout out to Mr. Tran from AirbladeUAV, his relentless support, unwavering patience, and expert advice played a key role in the success of this first brushless build.

If this is considered a difficult build, can't wait to do more! The most challenging part of the build was trying to keep the stack short to accommodate the Micro Swifts angle. I went thru two other flight controllers until I tried the HGLRC XJB F428 which, sits perfectly on the tiny unforgiving frame. Although the Hulkie 2040 props look amazing on this tiny beast, my favorite is the 2035BN's. Way more durable and balanced. Amazed by the power and fun tiny brushless motors can generate, I'm officially hooked!

Thank you Sir! Haven't logged on since early summer so sorry for the late response. Your canopy is amazing! Trying to track down another 83 frame to build another.

How does the antenna hold up from crashes?

So far so good. The extra slack gives it a bit of flexibility which I feel helps when it lands upside down. Paint chips off easily however.

I've been keeping an eye on these little Atoms builds and I really dig your setup. Great job for a first brushless build! I look foward to seeing more of your builds.

Airblade is finalizing two slightly larger versions of this frame, 2"/2.5", 90ish/100ish mm wheelbase, and more space for a "friendlier" build.

Thank you for the kind words Sir! Not too shabby yourself, digging your build style. Your page is a huge inspiration. Like me, it seems like you have an appreciation for aesthetics. Form and function FTW!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
