Shendrones - Flaco 1407 (remix feat. Armattan)

I really wanted to make a build around the Armattan Uni pod, but I never liked how it is made to mount directly on the stack. One bad crash and the FC is damaged. Sometime later, I had a eureka moment when I found out that Shendrones sells the Flaco bottom plate as a spare part.

I ran 30 mm titanium bolts from the bottom plate up and used 24mm nylon standoffs to cover them. The new spare plate sits on top of the standofsf and is secured with M3 lock-nuts. The Uni pod and flight stack are now separated.

With the 24 mm standoffs, the new camera height is identical to the original pod . The original canopy and the uni pod were similar in weight and the extra base plate is an 5 grams. I used T-Motor F20II (1408 3750kv) to offset the extra weight. These motors easily handles the quad and are ice-cold on stock Betaflight PIDd without dynamic filtering.

Finally, I chose the Dal TJ4045 base on EngineerX static thrust test. Not too weak, not too powerful. BUT, the profile of the blades on the skinny arms are so nice, they will be permanent fixtures on the quad. Black stilettos.

I am very happy with this build and the thought process it took to get put everything together. I manage to keep the Flaco at close to the same weight and kept the design characteristic that Shendrone intended while improving the durability.

Is it true that the caddx comes with a mount that will make it be able to fit any frame that can fit an hs1177. Trying to figure out if this camera would fit in the ls210

Yes, in fact i am using that plastic mount with a caddx micro SDR1. It fits larger sizes mount pattern no problem.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
