AUW is right around 260g.
Somehow I was using DYS SE1407 3600kV motors initially and they were getting hotter on hover than with the smaller (lower RPM) 1306 3100kV motors I settled on.
If someone has an explanation, I'd be happy to hear it.
Thinking of trying with 3530 props, they might fit and I hope they'll be more efficient and increase flight time a little. Since their pitch is lower than my current 3045 triblades, I hope the motors will be able to handle them on 4s.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
