Hi,

Happy to show you my last design, the Vandal. May be the design i'm the most pround. There is almost no strait lines in the design, i put many attention to use sufficient material but only the needed at each location of the design, taking advantage of my experience due to my first job (Structure designer at Airbus). The result is an stiff but very light frame. I'm the first supprised by the result.
3 Versions are designed:

  • 3" for 116/1304 motors (M2x9mm) at 18g for the complete frame
  • 3" for 1407 motors (M2*12mm) at 23g
  • 4" for 1407/1707 motors (M2*12mm) at 28g

The designed aimed using M2 20x20 4/1 ESC + FC and a runcam micro or equivalent. The bottom plate receive directly the micro runcam bracket using oblong holes enabling to adjust the cam in all directions.

Recommended columns are M3*24 or 25mm.

The frames are available at my Armattan production shop.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
