aka "the myrcmart special"

jumping straight into the 2" world of madness.

i tried to make it look like a watermelon (green motors, purple props, yellow antennae).

it didn't really work.

this build is 100% without a doubt my favorite flyer. 2" is great because it an accelerate to crazy speeds, corners on a dime, and hits gates like a whoop when you slow it down.

the build was a bit tighter than i'd like -- while i 100% recommend the frame, i would be more careful with your choice of electronics than i. it's much easier to build with a 2-board stack. if you have room, you could even smash it to 17mm, which would be super sexy. i could have built this cleaner, and it still has room for improvement -- i just don't feel like opening it up.

i would not recommend the motors, they're just what i had after my torrent 110 died. you can probably get similar performing ones for far less, especially considering they cost more than the motors i use on my 5".

i planned to test the frsky xm reciever, but it came dead out of the box. the xm+ portrudes weirdly from the side, as it's a bit too thick to shove between two 20x20 boards. i can't use longer standoffs since this build is tight as is.

my phone camera makes it look like a flip phone, sorry.

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
