Airblade Eclair V2

This is a rebuild. I have a Loki X2, but it's a bit lacking. So I'm going to upgrade it to an Eclair V2 frame with a better camera, vtx and motors. I picked the 2.5" prop frame because I could use 2" or 2.5" props.

In the build, I used the "Thingie" plate given to me by Rotorgeeks to attach the VTX03. The plate only weighed 1g, so it's much lighter than the 3D printed backpack. The VTX03 gets really hot, so I put a heat sink on it to help it cool. Hopefully that will increase the life expectancy of the VTX and improve its performance. The heat sink weighed less than a gram, so there's no impact on the weight. This build is 81g.

how much does the quad weight with and w/o batt? How long do you fly?

With the Gemfan 2040 props on, it weighs 87g without the batt, and weighs 126g with the 650Mah 2S batt. The motors run very hot with 3S battery because they are 1104 7,500 KV. So for this build, I only use 2S batteries. Flight time (with the 650Mah 2S) just cruising around is about 5 min 25 sec if I Iand at 7.0V.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
