Had a few 2 inch builds. This is by far the most enjoyable to fly. I built this for smaller outdoor spaces and bigger indoor ones, being a 3S build. No other 2 inch frame feels this stable and smooth in the air. Congrats to Dimitry (Mr. FlexRC) for this design. And also thank you for supplying me a new frame after I broke my first one. FlexRC frames have armattan-like lifelong warranty.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

number of minutes flight time?
also I'm curious if the 2S, 3S, etc impacts flight time or if it's just the mAh. I know the more cells the more power, but I don't know if cell count impacts flight time.
i fly this rig only with the tattu 450mah 3s lipos. therefore i can't tell you how the flight time changes with 2s lipos. I get around 3 minutes with my 3s lipos.
thanks. according to my research the best way to maximize flight time is to fly 4500 kv motors. i'm guessing that 2 cells will have a longer life as well, also at the expense of power/thrust.
thanks again.
to be honest, i don't think that the lost in power is worth the longer flight times. at first i had dys 1104 7500kv, which in reality is a 1105 7500kv, and the quad felt perfect, the most 5 inch like feeling i had up to date from a micro. after i broke 2 motors i switched to BBB 1105 6000kv and i really felt the lack of power coming out of dives. the quad now felt more micro-like than before. therefore i changed the motors again for amax 1106 6500kv hoping to restore some of the power.
