VOLITANT 191

My latest 5 inch frame design, 1 piece bottom plate 191mm motor to motor and weighing (with aluminium hardware) 40g for this 4mm version.
30g for 3mm and 50g for 5mm versions.

I knew I wanted it to be quick as it is a light weight build and had no cares for efficiency so thought I'd see how the new r5 2207s in 2700kv would cope with 6s, and so far from the brief few flights I've had it looks very promising. Also nice to have a higher kv and have the option to limit max throttle for efficiency or open it up for stupid speeds.

First 4in1 40a failed after a few flights no idea why, I've never been a fan of 4in1s so swapped to separate spedix 30a 3-6s escs and threw 4 1000uf 35v low esr panasonic caps on there which cleaned up the video nicely, no idea how I would have added them to the 4in1

Couldn't find the 6s packs I wanted so made my own from two tattu 3s 1050 75c packs, they are almost identical in size and weight as a tattu 4s 1550 75c pack

Frames are now available on my Armattan productions page if anyone wants to rip one of these!

Are these the 32bit spedix escs? How is the noise? Have you tried them on 24khz and 48khz?

Good to know. For a minute I was thinking "man, I really need to up my wire game!" Impressively light frame. Plan on making a 1407 compatible set of arms?

Thank you!

I have a 1407 5" version available in 3mm here; https://www.armattanproductions.com/pages/kit_detail/1596

It is the same as the frame shown in this build but the motor mounts are a little smaller and different to suit 1407 size motors. It should weigh approx 30g with alu hardware

However I haven't ordered one myself as I prefer 1407 on 4" but I am confident the frame should work fine if you are interested

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
