Inspired very much by Hertrech Eugene Jr's Twerkstallion ( websta.me/n/hertlife ), this is the Floss Twerkstallion. ZMX Finx23 Drivetrain on Bob Roogi's brilliant Floss 2.1 Frame. Still remarkably low cost for the most extreme performance possible on 4S setups. DSLR Pictures, and some Shaun Taylor style DVR will forthcoming (just with much less skill on either of those fronts)
I have some upcoming modifications - mostly aesthetic. I'll repopulate the build thin, but this will be a reference from the initial build effort.
This thing rips so absurdely hard on virtually any props that I hardly fly it. In orer to achieve easy altitude control with a setup this explosive (especially when running light batteries), I end up running 60° camera tilt as a default position. The outright speed of this thing in short bursts, coupled with the extremely high efficiency from being so light is the biggest thing keeping me racing on light 4S quads for the time being (also having piles of good 4S packs).
This frame has been remarkably durable - a lot of high speed crashes on this one and it's twin, and so far only one arm broken (full speed into concrete at a race), and a top plate (full speed into a metal pole - but it's still on there). At the speeds this wants to fly, nothing designed for lightweight will survive long term - but I've stopped babying it and been extremely happy about it.
If you're running this specific board, you do want to go into BLHeli32 and set the PWM to 48kHz and desync the PWM from the PID loop just to ensure that it doesn't experience random single-ESC desyncs.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Are those red stand offs after market?
Yeah, they're generic 20mm M3 Anodized Knurled Standoffs.
I'm waiting to see if I need a red TPU printed camera mount, or if I'll move to a Phx3D Floss Canopy that I'll Rit Dye a matching red.
Nice, sounds like a good lookin quad
