Finally got round to making myself a 250 after flying off the shelf and diy micros.
Money is tight so i'm ordering a few parts a week, so far i've got the pdb,fc,osd, motors and esc's paid for and on slow boats from china (all were separate orders).
I already have a pair of eachine ev800 that i use on my fpv micros but i thought it'd be nice to have a complete price for an all in rtf fpv zmr250.
I have 3D printed the top and bottom plates in glow in the dark blue pla, and the arms and other parts are glow in the dark red pla i will be printing other custom parts...xt60 & antenna holder for example.
While not everything is the cheapest component i still believe this makes for an excellent price to quality quad.
i plan to put a nightvision(ir) cam in, so i have been looking at 3w smd ir leds and would like to mount them on a bumper by just de-soldering the leds on a strip and replacing say 1 or 2 with the ir emitting ones...anyone had any experience with ir bulbs ?
All comments welcomed and appreciated!
UPDATE 08/8/2016
pdb, osd and flight controller were all waiting for me when i got home from work, so i added a few piccies :D
UPDATE 14/8/2016
Soldered sockets for the micro minimOSD onto the pdb then soldered pins onto the mmosd from there.
UPDATE 16/8/2016
ESC's, motors, standoffs, M3 screws & lock nuts, and velcros arrived today :)
Realised the motors don't fit in the cupped arms so i'm printing the same ones a solid motor mount piece (updated in parts list).
Made a quick mockup of how itll look ...see pics attached.
UPDATE 19/8/2016
All other parts (fpv, batteries, servo motor for gimbal & other misc parts) have been ordered with priority shipping so should be here in 9 days or less and im off work until 5th of september so more pics & vids to follow soon :D
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
