im doing this exact same build. Im guessing that in BF ill need to roll 180* on the FC? What about motor Mapping?

You do have to change motor mapping in addition to the FC orientation in BF. I followed the instructions in this video

. He covers everything there. In the last 2 min he specifically explains how to do it for the Remix.

I ordered 2x of these when they were up for preorder but cancelled them, If the body was longer so you could put a longer battery on it I'd get one, I don't like the sideways battery mounting at all. I also figured Id rather a 6" they are supposed to be making 6" arms for it. if they'd make it longer to be able to hold a battery in the traditional way it would be an amazing frame. I've always thought putting the propline mid way up the battery and putting the rest of the weight under then frame would make for a much better flying frame. don't think the top heavy type designed frames fly near as good.

All good points ... the sideways battery issue was the reason I had leaned towards the Rooster.

I order 2 6" roosters aswell, I hope they are good. really wish armattan would make a stretch X version instead of the compressed X and adding the Arms to the top plate instead of the bottom plate design that makes them top heavy, I think it would be the most amazing frame ever. I know they make frames for ppl wondering how much it would cost to design a frame and have them cut it? I hope you enjoy your frames there, I got mine for 17% off on sale, they just shipped today.

I've actually had a couple of stretch X frames and while I really enjoyed them for racing, not so much for freestyle. To be honest, I'm not sure that anyone that makes a freestyle frame makes one that has a stretch X geometry.

Id really like to do a long range build, really enjoy that type of flying. I didn't think so either as far as companies not making freestyle stretched X frames. might be able to have armattan make some special arms that are longer on the rear to make it a stretched X design for longer range stuff. anyways, have a good evening, ttyl

It flies great with the stock pid’s. It flies very similar to the Vortex 250 Pro, but with significantly more power.

Does it fly better or smoother than a Chameleon/Alien/Rooster or other freestyle frames?

I don’t know. I haven’t flown those.
