RotorX Atom 4" - BFF3

This build was an upgrade from my first ever build.

I decided to upgrade from the v1 frame, to the v3 4" frame.

This build is using a BetaflightF3 board paired with Spedix20a Lite. The motors are BH1407's 4100kv (previously used with 3").

I started out trying some rx3044t's on 4s, and really liked the stability. Initially I didn't want to try 4" props on 4s so only used them on 3s. I thought the esc's wouldn't be able to handle it. But on a 'fuck it' impulse, I decided to try them on 4s and it was absolutely nuts. The esc’s have been holding up great.

AUW (850 4s) - 296g
AUW w/o HDcam (850 4s) - 270g
AUW w/o HDcam (700 4s graphene) - 252g
AUW w/o HDcam (850 3s) - 250g

Definitely more fun without the HDcam and on 4s, but still flies great with everything on.

the hd camera, it seems really really cool, but is there a more noticeable jello or the like because of a higher refresh rate? Im curious before I decide to try it (oh, and nice footage. Is that DVR?)

I’m not sure if the jello is due to the higher refresh rate of the cam. I think the vibrations in my videos are cause of the tune. I also have slight delaminations in the frame causing the arms to wiggle a bit. The videos linked were taken with the RXHDcam

4" props with a 4s lipo on those motors is going to SUUUCCK amps - way more than 20a

I’ve been flying this setuo for months. Surprisingly they don’t pull as many amps as you’d think. The ESC’s can take it and the motors come down just slightly warm. Without the weight of the HDcam, I’ve been able to fly for over 7mins cruising around.
