Just ordered this frame for my first quad, what are your thoughts on it? Anything I should be aware of?
Also is your battery top or bottom mounted, doesn't look there's much room on top.

I'm loving this build. Everything came together so much easier than my smaller 3" build. There really seems to be a place for everything. The owl mount fit perfectly into the provided space.
I've been running with the battery on the bottom mostly because I intend to put a Runcam HD on the top once I get a decent mount for it. I also like to keep the battery on the bottom just to limit the chance of any battery damage from the props in a crash.
I would also recommend the placement of the Vtx antenna under the arm as I have done in this build. I've crashed into a number of gates and have had zero damage to antennas, nor anything other than props with this setup. It also seems to give you just a bit more head room on close calls

Good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I'm experimenting with safer locations for the antenna, hence the underbelly / arm mount. I used to mount the antenna at the back of the top plate on my other quads, but kept breaking the antenna at the base where the stem attached to the RP-SMA connector.
This is also my first time using Triumph antennas as it's my understanding that they are quite resilient.

Why the tape around the back? Looks a little curled up. Otherwise it looks nice.

It's probably unnecessary. Mostly a paranoid attempt to guarantee any longer signal wires stay in place.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
