My first build. Made a few modifications to the Wizard Killer III by Whiffles. The all in one FC board was a good soldering challenge but after a bit of practice on a unused PDB I was able to pull it off and it passed the smoke stopper test.
An improvement opportunity I see is to find a better mount for my Monster V2 so it doesn't stick out so far. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!
Betaflight 3.3 setup complete. First flight went amazing! On 3s it was crazy powerful, can't wait to try out my 4s batteries soon. This has been a fun build!
Nice job! Can you get a little tilt out of that camera? I'd try to start with at least 20 degrees until you get comfortable with the speed.
Great parts and awesome job on the price including the X7 radio and ev800D googles! Thats literally all you need to fly for under 300 Usd.
Really nice build. Some things to check: Prop nuts :) also two of your props are upside down.
Make sure to check everything in betaflight before you hover: errors that seem simple can take you out of the air for a long time!
happy flying mate. best of luck with the new quad
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

How do you like the motors?
So... They seem to perform real well! My only issue was that I originally ordered 4 and then an extra 2 incase I damaged any with this being my first high performance quad. Of the 6 i had, one sounded terrible on first spin up (like bad bearings?) and vibrated the whole quad and i only ended up with 4 that i thought sounded good enough to actually run. So i guess im happy with the 4 I have installed but if i had to do it again id probably just buy motors with better quality control.
myea... doesnt sound that good. Did you end up getting a refund or replacing the bad ones?
I was too lazy, just tossed them aside.
I had the same concern with these motors, but i found a similar alrernative from RCX. they have curved magnets, retaining screw, thick windings and '7075' aluminumium for similar price. Check them out, id like your guys opinion: RCX LS2207 2400KV: http://www.myrcmart.com/rcx-ls2207-2400kv-fpv-racing-motor-economy-version-p-12066.html
