This is my first 6-inch quad. It is for general purpose use with some long range radio and FPV upgrades planned for the future. In keeping with my other themes, I'm keeping it relatively inexpensive. And, this time, I'm actually using parts from US suppliers. I really went top notch with the Bardwell F4 AIO flight controller, Spedix ES30 ESCs, Runcam OWL 2 camera, and Frsky XSR. The budget parts are the motors, which I did order from overseas. The idea was to get motors with the best specs that were 5S capable and able to turn 6-inch props. The Racerstar BR2406 motors turn at a relatively low 2300KV and and with the larger diameter stator, I was not disappointed with the torque at low throttle or with the seemingly limitless top end. I have not yet hit the throttle stop in regular flying.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

So how are you liking those motors so far?
So far, so good. I think they work well on 4S and HQ 6040 props. Good bottom end and low throttle cruising. The top end speed kind of trails off but it's probably the props because I can still hear the motors spooling up.
