This is the 2nd micro with HD that I have built. The last one was 3" with a Runcam Split 2. This time I'm using the Runcam Split mini on a 2.5" platform. I originally built this with a HGLRC Zeus board and Sunny Sky 1106 6500 kv motors, but on the 3rd day out the prop shaft fell right out of the bottom of the motor mid flight. So I had these parts for another project and decided to use them on this project. Originally I was going to run this on 3s but according to Ciotti FPV ( check him out on youtube if you want to see what a 4s CB can do) the RCX motors really come to life on 4s which is why I switched from the Zeus to the F428 the Zeus is 3s max. Below is a video of the original build with the Sunny Sky motors I will update the build when I get some footage from the new setup.

Help me to understand why the Zeus cannot run a 4S?

My build was planning on it. I can still switch to 3S, but already ordered the batteries.

The board is just not rated for the voltage. In the spec it says 3s max, and when I looked around I found people that had tried 4s and fried it. They make a CB 3" that is drilled 30x30 and 20x20 so you could run a full size AIO like the Lumineer Alpha that is a single board solution that can take 4s.

Damn, a lot of the specs on the websites say "voltage input: 2-4s" or something similar. Pretty frustrating.

Yup I had the same issue. I ended up getting it from RaceDayquads.com and their description said 2-3s so I went from there and then read about the people that had popped theirs
