This is a rebuild of my very first 5" quad. Still going with a very budget build, with some simple added bells and whistles (racewire, racelites). I upgraded the old budget motors (racerstar 2205) to the newest budget motors (Samguk 2306 2500kv). I dropped in the cheapo 35A AIO ESC which has worked well for me on my other 5" build so far. I have the 6" arms on this for some prop flexibility and clean air flow. I'll probably fly it on 5"-5.5", but I might experiment a bit with 6" too. Maybe too high KV for 6"? Not sure, will experiment. I also managed to slam the frame down to 20mm which I like quite a lot. Using the new Frsky X-lite with it (normally use Spektrum). I feel like my builds are getting a bit cleaner and more tidy which makes me feel good inside. XD

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Which arm size did you use for 6", the 255mm arms? Which "standoff width" option did you use for the Micro FPV Cam Mount? Also, when you slammed it, did you just not use the X braces in the front and only use the standoffs, or did you add something else? Thx!
Yes, 255mm arms. I don't remember the standoff width. I think I measured it. If I understand your question correctly, I just used the standoffs and didn't use the other braces (too tall.)
Cool, thanks. Yeah, sorry I wasn't asking about the standoff width, I figured they were standard standoffs. Just curious if it was OK to leave the carbon fiber side braces off, seems like it was. Looks cool slammed, and at the current prices, a real bargain frame. Thx!
