3 inch build on 4S power
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Looks so roomy. How tall are those standoffs? 30mm?
Yes, I used larger standoffs than it came with because I liked the idea of standing the VTX up vertically in the back instead of mounting it. I think it's the hardest thing to find a place for. I am about to upgrade to a Diatone stackable vtx so it will go in the stack.
I know what you mean. I'm still trying to find a good position for my VTX even after a few flights. I'm using 25mm standoffs, so it's pretty tight. How'd you do in coming in under 250g?
It weighs in at 185g without a battery and 256g with a 850mah 3S. I have some 450mah 3s that I fly it will also that bring the wieght down well under 250
Excellent. My GEP130X weighs in at 251g with an 850mah 3S. We're really close!
Yea, i was just taking a look at your build and saw the weight. I've always wanted to try a build with a 4in1 ESC too. I think back to my ZMR250 and how much wiring and space everything took compared to how simple things are nowadays and it's crazy. They also make that Combini flight controller that has a PDB and FC together in one board. With that and a 4in1 ESC, that's all there is to it now!
Yep, I think a 4-in-1 and an AIO FC is the way to go on a little 3" build. The Omnibus is great for the integrated OSD and vbat.
