Do you think 5.5" would fit better with 20mm standoffs? I may give this a try. How do you like the R9 system?
Probably about the same on the standoffs. It most definitely fits even without the use of a file, but I was being cautious. It is close. I only tried the 5552 gemfans though.
R9 has been rock solid for me with over 200 packs without issue.
After looking again I might have only taken 0.5mm off the frame. Not much, just enough that on flex it I'd won't hit the top plate.
Looks good! I've had 5" frames where normal 5" props barely cleared the frame. I need to get myself some 5.5" props.
I flew 5152 at first, and man, 5552 makes a world of difference. Pretty sure the 5152s were just flattening though with the 2208 2550kv primos on 5S.
