I've never flown a full bus style frame, but I was fascinated by this 4" when I first saw it. ImpulseRC's great attention to detail and kit quality warrants giving the full sized Alien or Reverb some serious consideration.
The build is afforded simplicity by the Mini Magnum 2 stack - but the VTx did need to be lowered about 2mm. The Micro Eagle barely fits, but does clear the standoffs. I like the wide-X layout, there are no props in view, and it feels firmly planted for smooth manoeuvres. Power is great with the Hyperlite 1407 motors. In all likelihood, these would be fine on a tiny 6S pack as well.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

I imagine the build is pretty much the same as a 3 inch so you could just rock with it and run the 3 inch props without having to spend some more money. (also, big arms on medium size props look awesome almost %100 of the time)
