This is my first ever build in progress. After some fun programming my own Arduino flight controller, I'm refurbishing this quad for aerial video and FPV.
I'm a relative noob at this stuff, so I'm learning as I go. That's the fun part right?!
Hello I wonder if you made any adjustment in the frame to include the engine?
We are building a UAV with this engine and we are struggling to find frames.
Thank you.
Danilo
Interesting frame. I haven't seen that one in use before, nor have I seen those motors. BTW, you only listed one motor. Also, why not go with a GPS flight controller like APM or Pixahawk?
Exactly what I was thinking! I spent some time on the build today and I'm getting vibrations from the motors under 0.05 g. They might just work! I'll get some pictures uploaded asap.
Flashing cleanflight on the cheapo CC3D FC was a breeze and it's working great so far.
Unfortunately I crunched the antenna on my Taranis and will have to wait for parts before I can get to the flight test. Not looking forward to the complex solder job for that repair.
This is pretty cool man, I'm actually currently in the process of building a high speed aerial photography rig on a Dji F450 flamewheel frame. Same size. I have yet to fly a quad this big.
Hope you have better success than I. This was my first adventure in quadcoptering and it never flew well. I had high hoped for long flights and good videos, but it was a pretty bad flier.
Takes time and practice brother, spend time tuning and tweaking it, just bc it might not fly well now doesnt mean you can't smooth it out. Dont give up!
