Decieded to try my hand at this long range hype after watching Stingy's video with Gab and Jet. Well semi-long range.
Went with a GPS with a compass so I could try INav, however its on Betaflight for now.
Originally wanted the Project 399 Super G plus but they were sold out at the time. Went with MQTB because I like what they do.
All extra parts were printed on my Maker Select V2 with Sainsmart TPU. Yeah my printing needs work.
Tried to go semi lightweight but after the big battery, 2208 motors and all the bells and whistles its a heavy quad.

So tell me things about those 2208's! Does it seem "thrustier" than 2306? I assume it's thirstier, because how could it NOT be... What about having all that weight out at he ends of the arms; is it starting to be noticable, or does that extra thrust make up for it? Is she fast in a straight line? When you punch it to jump over a tree does it go juuust over the top, or to the moon?
It can definitely be thirsty, but my first longish range flight I got a nice 5 and half minute flight. Definitely have a whole lot of thrust at the low end and I feel like I have plenty of power when punching out. I clocked it at 90mph/145kmh, but at like 20 degree camera angle on 6x3.5x3 props, so feels fast in a straight line.
There is a slight wobble at low throttle that may be from the weight at the end of the arms, but I am sure I can tune that out.
