HoverBot HD4

This is a full custom build I designed around a Runcam 2 camera. I wanted something durable and light to take HD video footage, so I started from scratch and made every component fit as tightly as possible together in Solidworks. Then I got the CF cut from Armattan Productions and 3D printed durable CF reinforced nylon parts on a MarkForged mkII printer.

I really like the idea of using a runcam as an all in one video capture and fpv system. It's a slick little build and YES I would be VERY interested in making one!

Very cool, do you have any flight footage?

Wow, that's awesome! That's gotta be the best footage I've ever seen from such a small quad. What's your AUW?

Great build! - very interesting approach.

What's your AUW? And do you have any flight footage you could share?

AUW is just under 250g with a 1AH 3s battery. I have some flight footage but it's not very interesting - I was pretty scared to crash on the ABS plastic I used at first. But this nylon revision should be a lot stronger.

Nice!

Is it running 4'' props? I bet it's a rocket at 250g with those motors!

I'm very tempted to build something similar!

Yup, 4" props on a 158mm wheelbase! It was all very carefully modeled to be as tight as possible.
If you're interested in building one, I can easily make the frame available for purchase from Armattan.
