The maiden flight of this thing lasted 52 minutes. It was like 1c outside and my fingers were freezing.
I found this frame and motors on aliexpress and knew that I wanted to build this. After that, my goal was to have a copter with same weight than DJI Mavic Pro, but with three times the battery capacity. This build ended up being just a little heavier than Mavic Pro but I don't know where I could save any more weight.
INAV 2.4.0 on 7" endurance preset held it very well in place for the whole 52 minutes. It kind of lost the position only once when I had to take it to manual control just to set it to POSHOLD again.
Theoretically the copter is loaded with 10120 mAh of li-ion. After 52mins, 7030mAh was drawn. and then the copter could not stay in air any longer.

hello, beautiful build, cool ... I´m building a quad with a similar setup (motor, propeller and batteries) but I will use a customized version of TBS source one (390mm and motor mount hole for mavic motor), it is already coming... in terms of flight, do you use 100% acceleration with these batteries?
very awesome! any payloads planned or just planned as a long range cruiser?
52 minutes is mind blowing! It's a very cool experiment but what do you do for 52 minutes while it's flying!? 😱😂
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
