After this monstrosity I figured I owed it to LAZD to build his gorgeous Aero7 properly :)
This should get some incredible range considering it's using the same drivetrain and liion packs as my XL8, but lighter and more aerodynamic, especially without the GoPro. Testing down the lake shore tomorrow!

hi,
i'm very interesting for your project but i can't understand the cable connection between the fc (radix) and the Aikon esc .
can you show me a photo or a diagram connection....please?

I noticed you mount the HD cam above the FPV cam, did you notice that the HD recording is pointed downward a bit? I have a Hybrid in my 3" build, mounted as shown in your pics. After reviewing the HD footage, it appears to be staring at the ground most of the flight (I tend to fly low).

My HD and FPV seem pretty well aligned. You can see both on my recent videos. I didn't think it was possible for the cameras to misalign.

Yeah, after rewatching your video, i noticed that the FPV is 4:3 while the HD is 16:9, so you lose the top and bottom of the shot (top being important when flying fast). So, I'm going to try to change aspect ratio of the FPV feed. Hopefully that'll help.

I soldered together a 3s Li-ion cell like that, and my battery charger struggled to charge the middle cell, and eventually the charger died. I considered it a failure, but it might have just been the charger. Did you have any problems with your cells after you soldered them together? Any tips, or refrence videos?

Not at all. Sounds like it was the charger. I just use regular lipo 4.2 charging and charge at 1c most times.

Haha! I was thinking you'd really dig it when I saw you were making that light 7". Mine isn't that light but I think it's a good balance. I'm having trouble with the BEC I installed this morning so i can run 5 & 6S with the Hybrid, but my first 5S liion flight was fantastic. :)

Will do. I'm rendering video from the first flight now, but unfortunately my OSD was cut off so no Amp draw stats. Next time. I'm focusing on range more than anything with this one, but I will slap a 5s lipo on there for some speed runs when I get it all dialed in.
