My first Armattan Tadpole build.
I ordered 2 frames the same minute they came available. Chris from Armattan confirmed that I was the first in the world to buy these :D
This frame seems so nice and all reviews have been really positive. Let's see how it flies...

Painted the aluminium parts metallic blue to add some own touch. There are not so much to do to keep the weight as low as possible.
AUW is now 112g with Tattu 3S 450mah lipo.

I designed a light weight arm protectors/motor soft mounts. There tiny parts weight only about 0,5g. You can find the protectors from: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4036637

What size scews did you use to mount the Caddex? Seems like the extra 5mm ones that came with the tadpole frame are a little short.

which is the correct size ? M2 6mm or m1.5 6mm ?

Iamhugo01   Jan 18, 2020

i have the same issue, what size screws do i need to order to mount the camera?
1.5 or M2 6mm?

CollinBrix   Feb 18, 2020

Hey, Have you managed to get a good tune on this? Cant seem to lock in mine

react13   Dec 17, 2019

do you think 1105 would be to much?

what does 1105 do with flighttimes?

alexnesteruk   Jan 04, 2020

I usually get around 3 minutes ripping hard with a 450mah. I have some 550 and 650mah on the way to test soon.

nice nice!! ordered all the components yesterday. going for a iflight 3pc stack. with flywoo 1103 motors. now just wait till stores in europe getting the frame in stock so i can start the build in 2 or 3 weeks. what a cool micro!!  the frame is abit heavy for a toothpick build. but with 3s 450 it will rip! hope it will be more durable then the tinyhawk freestyle!

Lot more room than i thought there would be above this stack, Im still waiting on parts for pretty much the exact same build, althoug i also have an HGLRC FD413 nano stack on the way, not sure if ill use that if it comes before the Mamba F411

M490fpv   Dec 10, 2019

yes there is quite a lot of room. But components are so tiny, that i thought i can never solder all the wires 😂

yeah, not looking forward to soldering this. should be worth it, this looks like an excellent ultralight micro

nice build. awsome frame. do you know the maximum height of the frame above the stack drillholes? i want to know if it would fit a 17mm 3pc stack.

M490fpv   Dec 07, 2019

please read my comment for DoubleJackOnTap. sorry, i guess you must lower your stack to make it fit.

I'm also interested in stack height.  I've been considering building one using my Twig 115 components and the Baby Turtle.

thank you for liking my build! 😊
the space between the top and bottom plate is 15mm at the rear point of 16x16mm stack.

StickyRice   Dec 06, 2019

dude that looks so cool lookin!! hew does she fly? i see you went to 3s to cope with the weight? (or ami just overhitnking that haha)

M490fpv   Dec 07, 2019

Thanks! 😊👍
Haven't had any flights yet, my props are stucked somewhere in mail. I went with Atmattan's recommendation for 3S 1103 8000kv since i have no experience of this class

StickyRice   Dec 07, 2019

well it was good advice. Having a heavier setup on 2s makes it feel a bit underpowered. you could also try out 1105 6000kv with a pitch-ier prop like the rush avans on 3s :D

In late 2019 DJI made inroads into the FPV scene with their remarkable low-latency digital system. It gave us a 720p video feed with latency on-par with the status quo, analog video. Traditionally we've used analog video systems for low-latency video, but the video quality is far from ideal. It's a trade-off we've been willing to accept for the control. Now we've got the best of both worlds and what..

When the FatShark HDOs hit the market in 2018 the FPV community rejoiced for the new Sony OLED displays. While they lacked further upgrades like an updated DVR and power button they were still a market success. With the 2019 announcement of the Orqa FPV.One the community finally had a potential HDO killer on the horizon. With only weeks before the release of the Orqa FPV.One Skyzone came out of left..
