SkudRunner Mk1

This is a one of a kind prototype frame developed by CrashBOX Drones. The core design goals were to minimize drag through reducing the profile (incl. a vertical PCB board mount), internalizing all wires and electronics and streamlining the airflows over the airframe. It is industrially 3D printed (fused Nylon 12) so is extremely tough yet flexible. A system of spars and struts dampen any vibrations and resonance .

It also has a hinged top allowing two screw access.

The SkudRunner Mk2, the result of a complete redesign improving on the Mk 1, is currently in testing.

That really clean looking quad. I like this vertical arms idea. Do you think it could be easily modified for Caddex Vista or DJI Air Unit?

I still need to get a unit to test the sizing for the Caddex. I've got a long range frame coming out soon specifically for the full DJI unit.

What does it weigh? As in the frame.

Just the frame (no bolts) is around 117g

Very pretty frame, but the frontal area is still looking a little fat

CrashBOX   Mar 09, 2020

Took off a full inch in the mk2 to fix that :)

This is really cool reminds me of a vertical fc/esc freestyle frame I designed and flew a few years ago.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
