After the RotoriousFPV Zoot 3", my second approach at building a 3 inch freestyle platform for recording (kinda) HD. Interestingly, I like this one better. Don't know why, maybe I just like wide-X over true-X. Or the Iflight SucceX-E F4 is just a better FC/ECS than the Mamba. This one shows hardly any jello.
- About 212 grams AUW (incl. Insta360 GO) with a Tattu 4s 650mah
- I modified the MOD3 unibody (by ledroneclub) slightly in order to be able to use M3 standoffs
- There is also a version of the MOD3 with separate arms at armattanproductions.com
- The flight time is about 3-5 minutes with a Tattu 4s 650mah
- The iflight 1404 (4600kv) are pretty good, the Brotherhobby VY 1504.5 (3950kv) may be better
- The Tattu 4s 650mah are cheap and accessible, but a GNB 4s 550/450mah may be better
- Running Betaflight 4.2 stock pids + hd preset, D min off
- Shows some jello, but is hardly noticeable
- No props in view
- The TPU-mount for the Insta360 GO provides basic lens protection and secures the camera very tightly, no problems with over-heating so far
- The Insta360 GO is currently one of the best options for HD on a micro, but it has its flaws (image-quality, storage space and battery life)
- The "FPV Stabilization" of the Insta360 GO looks pretty nice
