Converting the old Armattan Rooster to digital was easier than planned, and I'm thrilled with the result! This is a 6" build, which has the same body as the 5" kit. It's just as fun for freestyle as it is for mid-range crusing. In calm winds, it runs nearly 7min on a 5S 1300mAh pack.

The old CLRacing F4S v1.5 is almost a perfect match for digital, with its 9V @ 2A regulator to drive the Vista air unit. But I'd already used up all UARTs for Crossfire and GPS. Luckily, UART1 can be freed for the Vista by disabling the inversion circuit through CLI: https://intofpv.com/t-turning-off-inversion-circuit-on-f4-flight-controller The "SBUS" pad becomes RX1, and TX1 is found on the bottom of the board.
DJI Mounting
Stack space on the Rooster is limited, so mounting the Vista was only possible thanks to the indivdual ESCs. I made a few small changes to increase stack height:
Antenna Mounting
I kept the SMA-to-UFL adapter and mounting from the analog setup, since the Vista also uses UFL. The antenna is the cheapest LHCP with SMA on GetFPV.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Hi
Thank you for this article
Can you please post a link to the (slightly different) camera mount STL you've used
Sorry, I lost the link by the time I posted. You should find many options for mini-to-micro camera adapters. Any will suffice.
