This build was inspired by Whiffles build guide here: https://rotorbuilds.com/build/23921
This is very similar to his build, with a few notable exceptions:
1) I am using the Ghost Atto receiver, which is fantastic for low latency and long range. The antenna is also a lot smaller than crossfire and happens to fit perfectly above the Caddx Vista camera, though I did have to tack some glue on there to keep it from bouncing around. I may get around to designing a better mount for it.
2) I am using the TBS GPS module, and designed a custom mount for it as well as the Caddx Antenna that fits right above. I will post a link with this 3d printed part if there is interest.
3) I opted for the Mamba F722 DJI stack, which is very reasonable for the price (under $70) but packs a ton of punch at 35A up to 45A burst. Only downside- it's BLHeli S instead of BLHeli 32, but Dshot600 should be more than enough for a long range mini build like this.
4) I am running the 3850 KV motors instead of the higher 4850's. The lower rpm motors should give me a bit longer flight times and are great for a 4S build.
Using an 1100mah 4S GNB battery I am able to get plenty of flight time- approximately 10+ minutes depending on how aggressive I get, possibly more. The great news is, I am also under 250g! I also have a Flywoo LR Explorer, which is very similar in terms of parts and about 10g heavier. Compared to the Flywoo, I like this frame because it feels a bit more durable and is one unibody as opposed to separate arms which tend to loosen up even in crashes. Overall I am quite happy with this build and looking forward to flying it. Hope you enjoy!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
