An atempt for a 1s 18650 2".
Frame was donated, FC, camera and VTX are recycled from previous builds. I reduced the bottom plate down to 1.8mm in thickness. I also had to modify it to allow the camera to sit in and for the FC USB to poke through.

Comes in at 40.9g with battery strap (no battery). Battery, LG HG2 (3000mAh, 30A max discharge) I made for it is 48.4g.

I can confirm this thing actually does fly and can be surprisingly lively :D The flight time is around 10 minutes when taking it easy.
I call this experiment a success.

I made M2x3 thread inserts for the top plate mounting screws after testing and a few crashes where the top plate with battery just popped out of place. Inserts are glued and pushed into the bottom plate. Made out of standard M2x3 heat set inserts for plastic I turned down on a lathe.

I love builds of old frames! 1s 18650 builds are so heavy that even 3" struggle a lot. Interested how this 2" gets on...I would try Sony VTC5a cell which can push out more current than VTC6 with a little less capacity.
That battery holder is genius as well.

Nice build. What flight times are you getting on what kind of 18650 cell?

Hey, thanks. Have not flown the full battery out yet... Haven't really flown in a while now. Once I get a chance to test the flight time, will post it.

It is very coool.... I never thinking about 1S! I have many Elff88 3S and 4S but no idea about 1S! I like your version :)...

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
