We've always been big on 3" racers, but with new motors in the same weight class capable of spinning 4" props, we decided it was time to give it a try. The prototype turned us into believers after the first flight, where she took 3rd place at the ASL King of the Palace indoor drone race.
Garagecrab is our answer to indoor race tracks. Coming in at just over 50g with a 4mm bottom plate and 3mm top plate, Garagecrab is designed to be durable, yet light. With a host of TPU accessories such as booties, battery protectors, top plate bumpers, camera struts, and GoPro mounts, Garagecrab is made for unforgiving indoor flying such as parking garages and warehouses. The stretch-x geometry gives you that stable feel and anti-propwash benefits, and the host of build options give you flexibility in choosing how you want your quad to fly, whether it's top mount battery for a more true center of gravity, or bottom mount with a GoPro Session on top, Garagecrab is equipped to make it happen.

I see a swift mini / micro in this beast's future!
Is the FC really ready for this kind of current? 3" 1407 4s - doesn't that pull close to 60A at peak? Won't 4" pull over 66A (which is what it's rated to read)?
I have 1407 3800kv motors sitting here.. think that will be okay? It absolutely murders 850mah batteries on 3" props.. :/
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

What's your experience with the TBS Unify Pro 5.8 GHz HV RACE Video Transmitter (more specifically range and penetration with a CP antenna)?
I'm looking at the TBS race or the Eachine VTX03 with a CP antenna using uFL connector (should save a lot of weight compared to regular VTX and SMA connectors).
Thanks.
I have heard good things about both. I have used both before but it really all boils down to what your setup is. If you need to shave weight and your fc or pdb happens to have a 5v bec then i would go with the VTX03 but in any other circumstance i would use the unify race.
Great. I use the Omnibus F4 V3 which has a 5V, 3A filtered internal BEC. I use it to power the receiver (XM+) and it can easily handle the VTx as well. I'll probably go with the VTX03. I'll save the weight and space used by the 12V external BEC...
Thanks!
