Martian III frame with 6" arms. Bottom plate trimmed and rotated 90 degrees to make a stretch X. The thin fiberglass board was used to make place for a battery strap and the pod is held on with the lipo strap for now instead of the bottom mounting plate that the designer on Thingiverse had intended. Haven't crash tested yet, but this way it's easy to access under the pod and the strap seems to hold it on snugly without the need of the added weight of the other piece. It's still heavy at 385g as pictured. The pod is fairly heavy printed in TPU, but really captures the HS1177 camera with 2.1 lens perfectly and with good protection. A very small part of the pod can be seen in the camera view, so maximum lens protection while not getting into the view.
The TBS unify was mounted on the back of the HS1177 camera so all FPV is mounted in the pod and can be easily separated with the JST cable, although I plan to add smart audio support to change VTX channel by Taranis script. (that's what the blue wire with open connection is for.)
Do you know if these Rcx motors are as durable as the old Red bottoms?
I've never had the EMAX red bottoms to compare. I've heard of people busting magnets loose on both EMAX and RCX, although I've not had issues out of mine. Worth a shot if you buy them with the "no warranty" option I think.
