QAVX 130 (QQX130) + Runcam Split

I bought an unfinished micro quad project from my friend. It consists of the qqx130 frame and the emax 1306 red bottoms. My main goal for this build is to fit the runcam split and use my beerotor 20A dshot600 escs lying around.

At first it looks like it's going to work according to plan. But upon mock up, the runcam split won't fit the stock camera plates included in the QQX130.

I decided to design a model to house the runcam split camera on top of the plate so that the runcam split board and the dys f4 fc would fit inside (also to prevent the propellers from being in the camera) . I also added 2 25mm standoffs in the 3d printed camera mount for added rigidity

I used a tbs unify pro HV vtx from TBS which is from their unify exchange program (your other brand vtx exchange to a unify pro). I'm using a stumpy tbs triumph antenna with this, but might change in the future to a linear pigtail ( coz "weight reduction bro")

The build was successful as I was able to fit everything in the QQX130. The only problem I encountered is when i tried to record the video, the camera sideplates are seen in the video..... I just uploaded an updated design on thingiverse but haven't tested yet.

Stay tuned for maiden flight.

Do you have any footage from this? Curious to see how it looks. How is video feed when recording? Does it feel like any delay?

Hi moeteasa. Here's a footage of the runcam split. It's on a different frame tho,

. Personally I can feel that there's a delay. So I will be using it as a HD recording cam instead of FPV Cam.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
