This is my first build ever. I've flown helicopters in the past and always wanted to get into this hobby. After a couple years of YouTube, forum reading, and the rise of sites like this, I was able to finally do it! I chose these parts after watching countless videos and reading endless reviews on each and every component.

are you okay with me using one of your pictures for the #BUILDMEASTINGY competition? I really love your choise of components and the look of your build!

That is totally fine! Best of luck in the contest! Anyone who gets the chance to fly one of these will have no regrets.

Any luck with your Stingy contest? I'm hoping you're up in the air! If you'd like to see some of the flying with this one, I just made a youtube channel. " JL Sides" Check it out and let me know what you think!

I saw you fly this today at the park! It was awesome, you should post a link to the video you are making whenever it is finished.

Yes, I use DRL Sim with my Taranis X9D. Works pretty well the controlls are very similar to the real deal. I wish my computer could run it longer than like 10 minutes without overheating though. I'd like to try Lift-Off as well.

I finally got around to creating a YouTube channel. Please feel free to check it out. Just search " JL Sides " on youtube. I'll be posting lots more as I learn how to edit and whatnot faster. I over saturated color, and have a lot to learn.

That's a really cool frame. You have all the things I wish I had lol! :) Its also a pretty clean build.

Thanks! I've put a good bit of thought into each component. The main part I'm worried about is the FC/ESC combo. I have it pinned and tons of forums say to use wires instead of pins. Maiden flight this afternoon, so I will see how it goes!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
