My first brushless build. Went pretty smooth. Wanted to hit sub 250g AUW.
Have been flying it for 3 months now. Only ruined an FC, but that was due to bad mounting of the RX on top of it. The motors might not sound the best anymore, but they definately get me around, and for the price, they are really excellent value. 15+ hours flight time so far.
The frame is awesome btw! Pretty cheap and super durable. Roomy as well.
I like the Falcon 120 props the most from the ones I've tried. They provide the best balance between (no) noise, crash-proofiness, performance and efficiency.
Flying it on 850mah 3S Turnigy Bolts. 246g AUW.
Good job keeping the price down! How are those motors? I looked at them in the past for a budget 3", but I just wasn't sure.
Well. Everybody says "don't buy budget stuff", but I just wanted to get flying asap. They don't sound very nice anymore and are beat up for sure. But they hold up. I could probably get more punch and such - but on 3s for some plain fun and cruising among small trees and such... Well. They do the job. And they are excellent value for the price. I've flown them for about 15 hours by now, still trucking...
You definitely got your money's worth then! Sounds like they're just fine for the price.
