I started this build back in January when I got the frame but didn't finish it until just now, the end of May. I'm getting about 10 minutes of flight time off my 1000mAh 3s batteries which is fantastic, but I'm not flying very hard. I still need to clean up some wires and figure out a good way to mount my camera but I'm pretty happy with the build. These DYS 1806 2300kv motors are way better in all ways than the Emax PM1306-2800Kv I was running on my last 180 build.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

Missing a few ESCs on your tally there. Otherwise looks like a fun build!
Ha! And here I was feeling pretty good for keeping the cost down so well ;) Adding the ESCs does bring the cost up a bit. I think I might try a 4 in 1 esc for my next build. RMRC has one for ~$35 which looks tempting.
Yeah, this was a super fun build. The tweaker is such a clean and well thought out frame it made it easy to build.
My first thought was, wow that's cheap, but then I went to look for something that might be missing ;) I wonder about those 4-in-1 ESCs. The main problem is if one dies you have to replace the whole thing.
