This is my attempt at making a very light and powerful 4", but still decked out with sleeving and color. This is a new frame from Tomo which I really liked building.

I might see if I can shorten the xt30 pigtail to bring it down a few grams. Will remove the camera's osd pigtail after I get it set up just to keep it clean.. Also maybe lighter props but pink isn't so easy to find.

I have a 3d printer arriving tomorrow, probably will reprint the white tpu parts in pink and blue.

Update: got the bling finished up with some anodized hardware for the arms and some TPU parts in pink and blue with my new 3d printer.

Did you ever fly this?

I don't get to fly all that much but this is my current favorite.

how much camera angle can you get on this? looks a bit tight in there.

theGreenOrange   Dec 12, 2017

Yeah, it is tight. I printed my own camera mounts to keep the camera as far back as I could for protection, while still keeping 45 degrees tilt. The stock mounts were even further back and wouldn't allow much tilt at all. You could give up the camera protection and flip the mounts around to get as high an angle as you like. A camera with a different plug location would be nice.

Looks awesome. Just one little nit...
You might consider anchoring that lipo lead to the frame (even to just the rear standoff with a padded zip tie or something. If you eject the battery you might rip the pads right off your esc.

theGreenOrange   Sep 25, 2017

Yeah, I have been thinking about what to zip tie it to. Probably the standoff I think.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
