AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

First real outside flight:
Looks like fun! What are your flight times like and how's the power feel? BTW, might want to move those wires out of frame =D
I'm getting around 5 min of flight time. I need to set up telemetry so I'm being fairly conservative with it. Now that I have it properly tuned up, it feels great actually! I will post another video of some acrobatic stuff. Power wise, I took it out on a very windy day and while it held its own it certainly was struggling. Overall it feels like a tiny whoop on steroids and meth.
Regarding the wires, That's sort of the short coming of the design...
Bummer about the wires, but 5 mins is pretty good!
For some reason I can not get telemetry to work on mine, please update on how it went when you set it up! Thanks.
I also had 8 little plastic spacers so i stacked two of them between the piko and the camera mount and can now barely see the front esc. You can also try to tilt the camera more by adding another spacer/nut on the front of the camera mount.
I'll post better/more pics of my build tomorrow.
