I'm building this slowly over time since I'm not made of money, but I wanted a quad with quality parts for my first 5" build.
UPDATES:
9/8/17 - Frame
9/13/17 - TPU parts from BMC3D
9/18/17 - Rotor Riot Kwad Skidz, lipo straps, and stickers.
9/21/17 - TBS Unify Pro HV and Lumenier AXII antennas - Got them both mounted to see how they fit and what not.
9/27/17 - Runcam Swift 2 Rotor Riot Edition installed
9/29/17 - Stikitskins FPV Bomb vinyl decals, RX and VTX mounted. Also threw some extreme outdoor velcro on the top plate.
10/2/17 - Flight controller, 4in1 ESC, and motors finally came in the mail. I wanted to make it as clean as I could so I put 550 cord over groups of wires and braided nylon sleeving over the motor wires. Since the ESC is turned 90 degrees I redid the resource mapping for the motors so they would be in the correct positions. I also reversed motor and yaw direction.
So that concludes my first 5" build. I'm stoked af on it. Time to go crash it.
Yeah bro. Super nice. I dig them stickit's. https://rotorbuilds.com/build/7687 I did similar...I think i like your top mount better.
Ive gotta second build going now too but in silver with another stickit.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

how did the fc/esc combo work out for you? ive got the fc, came in my kwadbox and now im thinking of getting the esc to match and toss it into a build soon
It worked well until I burnt out an ESC. I quit using 4in1's after that. Separate components = cheaper repairs = I get to spend money on more drone stuff. Lol.
thats true but i do like the quick build lol.
